3737 Wascana Parkway, CL 110
The Centre for Inquiry Regina, in conjunction with the University of Regina’s Biology and Psychology departments, is having a celebration in the honour of Darwin Day. Naturally, you’ve been invited!
For the first time in our city’s history, the City of Regina has proclaimed February 12th to be Darwin Day. This day, in fact, is the day of Charles’ birth. To celebrate, we are screening a movie called “What Darwin Never Knew” – more info here – http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/evolution/darwin-never-knew.html.
After the film, Dr. Kerri Finlay from the University of Regina will provide a brief presentation.
The room holds a maximum of 294 people. Children are more than welcome, but must be accompanied by a guardian. This will be in CL 110 in the Classroom Building. Free parking in lots 8, 9 or 10. Free popcorn and admission! Donations graciously accepted.
Schedule is as follows:
1:30 p.m. – Doors open to CL 110.
2:00 p.m. – Opening remarks by CFI Regina
2:15 p.m. – Film: What Darwin Never Knew
4:15 p.m. – Presentation by Dr. Kerri Finlay
4:35 p.m. – Questions and Answers
4:50 p.m. – Closing Remarks

If you’d like to be involved in planning more events, consider joining CFI Regina. There’s no cost and we meet monthly to talk about skeptical and scientific topics over beer, games or movies. http://www.facebook.com/groups/168893759817464/
