Lecture: Biological rhythms in teeth reveal clues into human evolution
There is an upcoming lecture by Dr. Tanya Smith, Assistant Professor, Human Evolutionary Biology, Harvard University & Peabody Museum.
Date: Tuesday, April 10th, 2012
Time : 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Place: B6, Health Sciences
Dr. Smith is a biological anthropologist who currently researches dental development and threedimensional tooth structure in fossil and living apes and humans to understand how they grew up and evolved over time. Dr. Smith’s work meshes classical and virtual histology techniques, notably 3D imaging the internal tissues of fossil primate teeth using synchrotron light.
