Human Rights "Documentary Night" tonight

There two human rights films being shown tonight.

Start Time: Today, March 31 at 6:30pm

End Time: Today, March 31 at 9:30pm

Where: University of Saskatchewan – ESB 116

We will be showing two documentaries that are guaranteed to be informative! Everyone is welcome!

The first is an Amnesty International production named "Iraq: Healing the Past, Forging the Future" (17 minutes). This film looks at past and present abuses in Iraq focusing on the issue of the "disappeared" both during Hussein’s rule and the more recent attrocities committed by Coalition Forces.

The second film is entitled "Taxi to the Dark Side" by Alex Gibney (106 minutes). This film is "an in-depth look at the torture practices of the United States in Afghanistan, Iraq and Guantanamo Bay" (www.imdb.com). "Taxi to the Dark Side" is a winner of 9 awards, including an Oscar and an Academy Award.

We are hoping to have somewhat of a discussion after the films so bring ideas!
