Wonderful to know the province that many of my ancestors came from, is as sensible and intelligent, as it is hard-working and determined!

That’s great news!
I never heard, but was there much flak about this? Meaning, opposition from anyone? I’m hoping there wasn’t.

I haven’t heard of any opposition. We requested it well in advance and the Ministry sent us the certificate.
We tried last year, but too close to Darwin Day. They sent us a nice letter saying they didn’t have time to process it and letting us know how far in advance we needed to apply for this year.
I am very impressed with our government.

Great job. Great idea. Where did the idea originate? Have similar things happened before? When you approached the minister of Ed was there any raised eyebrows?
